Global Learning Forum 2015

LINGOs is a non-profit member organization with 80+ international development and social sector organizations, representing over 200,000 employees and thousands of local partner organizations globally. The LINGOs Global Learning Forum will be a forward-looking, hands-on forum addressing issues and innovations in learning and capacity building.

Hosted by Heifer International, a global leader in poverty eradication, the Global Learning Forum will gather development professionals from around the world to discuss learning technologies, skill-building innovations, and resource management in a context specifically tailored for nonprofits.

Keynote speakers and session leaders are renowned experts in the fields of international development, humanitarian relief, conservation, the learning industry, and capacity-building organizations. In each session, they’ll distill their experiences into tangible takeaways for development organizations of all sizes.

With optional pre-conference workshops and two days of keynote and multimedia sessions, the forum provides participants with a rich collaborative learning experience. The agenda also features several networking meals and ample opportunities for connecting with colleagues in the beautiful Heifer Village complex.

The forum engages professionals across four tracks:

  • Learning Technologies
    • focused on approaches to learning and capacity-building for staff, with special emphasis on programmatic content and the needs of field-based staff in the Global South
  • Field Learning and Capacity Building,
    • focused on innovations that can help you and your organization achieve scale in learning, whether via mobile, tin-can/XAPI, blending modalities or other learning technologies.
  • Innovation and Leadership Development
    • focused on new approaches to learning in general, with an emphasis on developing leaders in the sector
  • Collaboration and Co-creation
    • focused on the co-creation of LINGOs projects for 2016, designed as a collaborative development agenda among LINGOs members and other interested parties with deliverables for the development and humanitarian community at large

Two optional pre-conference workshops on October 13 provide in-depth solutions to major challenges in NGO learning and resource management:
